Twas the week before christmas...

And I just had to have our 5 year old cat, Pandora put to sleep. That was by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I am absolutely devastated.

She was in advanced kidney failure, and was suffering. We did everything we could to help her. But her quality of life was really poor. I was all alone at the vets. And I've been crying since. Tonight has been a fucking shitty night.

Monkey is going to be crushed. I dont even know how I'm going to tell him.

We all loved that cat so much.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Sara. We lost our first bully unexpectedly almost 2 years ago, and I still can't look at pictures of him without that little pain hitting my heart and tearing up a bit. I hope you can find peace & know that you loved and gave her a happy life.

Oh Sara. I'm so very sorry. We had to do that a few years ago with our 18 year old cat. He had cancer and was just miserable. It was horrible, absolutely horrible to leave him at the vet.

My heart goes out to you.

Oh honey I am so sorry to hear that. As you know I am a cat woman myself and I dread the day we will ever have to do the same thing for either of our two. ((Big hugs))

So sorry to hear that. I understand how you're feeling - I had to let one of my kitties go three years ago. Its such a hard thing to do. *hugs*

Oh Sarah, I'm so sorry. :-( I'm so glad Pandora won't be in pain anymore but I feel so badly for her loss, for all of you. Hugs to you!

I found your blog from PJs....

We had to put down our Border Collie on Dec. 18, 2008. It is especially rough at the holidays and I can definitely relate to what you are feeling.

Take comfort though, Sara, small as it is, that you gave Pandora peace. That's not a gift we have the opportunity to give often.

Hugs....
